The videos/tutorials for this event show how to use the Cricut Design Space software to customise the card templates. However, the cut files can be used with other cutting machine brands such as Silhouettes, ScanNCuts, etc.

Hand-cutting versions of the card templates are included where possible, so many of the projects also can be made without a digital cutting machine. Not all projects are suitable for hand-cutting.

Hi, I'm Sarah!

I'm a Cricut crafter & cut file designer from the UK who loves designing papercraft SVG files to cut with my Cricut machine.

I was a card maker for years before ever getting a Cricut machine, so it's lovely to get back to my crafting roots for this Countdown event. I can't wait to see what you make with the templates and projects I've got lined up for you!

FAQs

Q: What is the Card Making Countdown?
A: Craft Countdown events by "Craft with Sarah" are online papercrafting events where I share themed craft projects for a set number of days.

After signing up for a free ticket to this Card Making Countdown, you'll be emailed a new card making project at 9am ET each day for 14 days, starting on Friday 12th June 2026.

Cut files are available to download for free for 24 hours after that day's project goes live.

Q: How much does the Card Making Countdown cost?
A: It's free! Simply sign up with your email address and you will be emailed a new project every day for 14 days, starting on Friday 12th June 2026. Each project will be available to download for free for 24 hours after its launch.

After signing up for the free version of the Card Making Countdown, you will be shown details about the "Instant Access Bundle". This is an optional paid add-on which gives immediate access to all cut files from the Countdown, plus 34 EXTRA bonus cut files that are currently only available as part of the Instant Access Bundle.

Q: Can you show me the projects?
A. The projects are a surprise until their release day. There are a few sneaky previews in the photographs on this page that give a little clue as to what some of the designs are.

Q: Are these new cut file designs?
A. Yes, all cut files are brand new and have been designed especially for the 2026 edition of the Card Making Countdown.

Q: What happens after I sign up?
A: After signing up to the Card Making Countdown, you'll receive an email with more information, including an (optional) invitation to join my Facebook group where you can craft along with other attendees throughout the Countdown.

Then, starting on Friday 12th June 2026, you'll get an email each day with links to that day's cut files. Don't forget to click the links to visit my website and download the cut files to your computer or mobile device before they expire.

Q: How long will I have access to the projects?
A: Each day's cut files will be available to download for free for 24 hours after they launch. After that time, they will no longer be available to download for free. Once saved to your computer or mobile device, the files do not expire. The tutorials and videos remain available.

Q: Will there be a video for each project?
A: Yes, each project comes with a video and written tutorial.

Q: What file formats are included for the cutting files?
A: Each cutting file design comes in SVG, DXF, EPS and PNG formats.

Q: What cutting machines can these files be cut on?
A: The free SVG files included in the Card Making Countdown have been designed to cut on Cricut machines using the Design Space software.

However, they can also be loaded into Silhouette Studio for Silhouette cutting machines or the Brother ScanNCut CanvasWorkspace software, as well as any other cutting machine or laser software that uses SVG, DXF, EPS or PNG files.

Q: Can I hand-cut the projects without a cutting machine?
A:
I have included hand-cutting versions for most (not all) of the projects. Some projects may be difficult to cut by hand due to the complexity of the designs.

Q: Can I cut the designs on a Cricut Joy or Cricut Joy 2?
A: 5 of the 14 projects can be cut with a Cricut Joy or Joy 2, but the rest of the projects are too large to be cut on those machines.

Q: Can I cut the designs on a Cricut Joy Xtra?
A: Yes, all projects are suitable for cutting with a Cricut Joy Xtra.

Q: What materials will I need?
A. A supplies/materials list will be shared closer to the event. But in general, most projects require coloured cardstock, glue, foam pads/squares... and not much else. 🥰

A scoring wheel/stylus for your Cricut will be very helpful as almost all projects feature score lines, but you could have the Cricut draw the score lines with pens and hand-score them instead.

A collection of patterned paper/scrapbook paper is recommended, but you could print out digital papers as an alternative.

Q: Do I need a color printer?
A: Some of the projects involve "print then cut", but alternatives are shown in case you do not have a printer.

Q: Can I sell crafts that I make with these files?
A: Yes, all of my cut files come with a Commercial License which allows you to sell unlimited physical, handmade, finished products that you create with these designs.

Q: How do I get the SVG cut files and tutorials?
A: Cut files will be released one project per day for 14 days, starting on 12th June 2026. You will receive an email each day with a link to my website where you can then download the free cut files. The cut files for each project are ONLY free for the first 24 hours after they go live, so be sure to check your emails every day to make sure you don't miss any!

Q: What if I miss a day's download?
A: No problem - all cut files will also be available to purchase individually from my
SVG Shop once the free version has expired. Or, purchase them all at once as part of the Instant Access Bundle.

Q: My question isn't answered - how can I get in touch?
A: Send me an email at
[email protected] - I'm always happy to help!

I aim to reply to every email within 48 hours but please remember that I live in the United Kingdom so there may be time differences between us that could delay my responses to your email.
